Data Privacy Policy

The protection of personal data is very important to us. We want you to feel safe when visiting our website. The personal data we collect when you visit our website is processed in accordance with legal provisions, in particular the German Federal Data Protection Act [Bundesdatenschutzgesetz - BDSG], the German Teleservices Act [Telemediengesetz - TMG] and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the EU.

What data is collected? Information relating to the visits of our website and its subdirectories are used under a pseudonym (browser cookies which cannot be used to deduce individual users). These cookies are used in order to evaluate, improve and display relevant contents on our website. The data – such as IP address, site from which the file was requested, date, time, browser type and browser settings, operating system, and the sites you visited – are analysed exclusively on web servers in Germany. For example, we can see the city a visitor accessed our website from, which browser type and what operating system the website visitor uses, and the pages he/she visited on the website. In no event can the collected data be used to personally identify the visitors of this website. The data collected is merely used to improve our services. Therefore, a portion of each IP address is removed and IP addresses are processed anonymously only. They are not otherwise used or passed on to third parties. You can prevent cookies from being installed by selecting the appropriate setting in your browser; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to access all the features of this website. With the use of this website, you agree to our processing of the data collected about you in the manner and for purposes described above.

Use and disclosure of personal data Personal data will only be collected if you provide this information on your own accord. The law office will collect, process and use personal data, such as name, address, or e-mail address, of the visitors of this website without further consent – and only to the extent necessary for the conclusion and execution of the contract. Personal data will only be passed on to third parties or otherwise transferred if this is necessary for the execution of the contract, for billing purposes within the client relationship, or if you previously agreed to do so as a visitor of this website. As a visitor of this website, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time.

What are your rights?

  • Right of subject access
  • Right of objection
  • Right to have data deleted

Right to subject access Pursuant to Sec. 34 and Sec. 6b of the German Federal Data Protection Act [Bundesdatenschutzgesetz - BDSG] users have the right to be supplied with the personal data held about them free of charge. Additionally, users have the right to have such personal data corrected, blocked and deleted in accordance with the legal provisions. Please contact us directly in any of these cases.

When will your personal data be deleted? We delete your personal data as soon as the purpose for which it was collected no longer exists; for example, within a client relationship. In order to comply with the requirements of commercial/tax law and other laws, it is necessary that your personal data is temporarily prevented from further processing only.

Use of social networks Links to external social networks provided on our website are easily recognisable, for example, with logos or the "Like" button. When these links are followed by clicking on them, plugins are usually enabled and your browser connects directly with the servers of the relevant social network. If you follow these links and register there, the information that you visited our website will be passed on to the relevant social network. As a rule, the operator of the social network will be able to attribute your visit of our website to your account and save this information on web servers abroad. We cannot influence the scope of data collection, the processing of your personal data by the social networks and/or your rights in social networks.
